Vannessa Watson is a lifelong resident of McCreary County, where she proudly resides with her husband and daughters. Deeply rooted in her community, Vannessa has dedicated her career to providing compassionate, patient-centered healthcare to individuals and families throughout the region.

Vannessa began her nursing career in 2012 after earning her Associate Degree in Nursing from Somerset Community College. Driven by a passion for advancing her clinical expertise, she continued her education at University of the Cumberlands, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2016 and her Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN-FNP) in 2021.

Throughout her nursing career, Vannessa has gained extensive clinical experience in neurological intensive care nursing and has held certifications in acute stroke care. Her diverse background has equipped her with the knowledge and skills to manage complex patient conditions while maintaining a strong commitment to individualized care. She is board certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and provides comprehensive healthcare services to patients across the lifespan.

Currently, Vannessa serves as the primary provider at FHCA's Whitley City clinic and holds the position of Director of Advanced Practice Nursing for Family Health Care Associates. In these roles, she is dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare and supporting the development of advanced practice providers throughout the organization.

Vannessa offers a wide range of healthcare services, including wellness examinations, sports physicals, weight management programs, preventive care, chronic disease management, and comprehensive primary care services. She is passionate about partnering with her patients to help them achieve their health goals and improve their overall quality of life.

When she is not caring for patients, Vannessa enjoys spending time with her family, participating in church activities, camping, and enjoying time on the lake. Her commitment to faith, family, and community is reflected in the compassionate care she provides every day.
